Shahidi: Corporations Decoded
This video is the result of my residency with RogueMark Studios in Berkeley, California. As lead illustrator on the project, I was tasked with the concept art, storyboards, character designs, and the final stop motion animation. I had a small but mighty team of fellow artists to help me create props and backgrounds. Much of the video I painted in real time under the camera.
Shahidi: Corporations Decoded is part of a project at the Haas Institute of UC Berkeley. Their work seeks to demystify the power structures and capacities of transnational food and agricultural corporations within our food system. Learn more about the Shahidi Project here.
